Virtual Support Groups During the Pandemic

QLC’s virtual support groups are designed with quarterlifers in mind and are facilitated by a QLC therapist. They are provided in a small-group format via video, are confidential, and require registration. They are being offered for a reduced fee during the pandemic. All Groups Meet for 4 Weeks.


Coping with Uncertainty During COVID-19

This support group will help you cope with the range of feelings you’re likely experiencing during the pandemic. You’ll explore the impact that the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 is having on you and your relationships. The group provides a safe space for you to connect with others, develop additional coping strategies, and receive support during the pandemic. The sessions will be tailored to the needs of group members.

Grief During a Pandemic

Experiences with grief during the COVID-19 crisis can be multi-layered and complicated. Grieving the death of someone close to us, whether from COVID-19 or another cause, poses unique challenges during young adulthood and the quarter-life period. As you are faced with news coverage of COVID-19 related deaths, you may find that grief related to previous losses is triggered. Grieving the death of a loved one due to COVID-19 is also a challenge that many young adults are facing. This group provides a safe space for emotional exploration, structured support, and grief education, especially in the context of the pandemic. It will also give you an opportunity to connect with other quarterlifers who are grieving during the pandemic.

Dating and a Pandemic

In this group, we’ll focus on dating as a quarterlifer, especially in the context of a pandemic. TedTalks and articles will be used to explore central themes. What are current trends? What is working? What isn’t? You’ll explore your own dating experiences and develop new insights and coping skills.

Parenting During a Pandemic

The challenges of being a parent during the COVID-19 pandemic are unprecedented. Are you finding yourself overwhelmed, anxious and exhausted from all that you have to manage each day? Perhaps it’s keeping you up at night? Balancing childcare, homeschooling, and jobs can impact relationships among members of a household in many different ways. This group provides a safe space for parents to receive structured support from a seasoned therapist, to discuss experiences and concerns they are having, and to connect with other parents during this uncertain time. You will leave this group with new insights and coping strategies.

Postpartum During A Pandemic

Do you find yourself feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and irritable since the birth of your baby? Adding a baby to your family is a huge life transition that introduces new challenges and new joys. Going through the postpartum period in the midst of a pandemic can be even more challenging. This group will help you better understand the feelings you’re having, while being supported by others on a similar journey.

In this group, you’ll read the book Little Fires Everywhere and discuss themes and how they relate to your own lives and relationships. The group will also explore how this book relates to how we are experiencing the current pandemic and uncertainty associated with it.

In this group, you’ll watch “Little Fires Everywhere” on Hulu and discuss its themes and how they relate to your own life and relationships. We will also explore how the themes connect to your experience of the COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty associated with it.
